Been to the forum yet? Everything fine? Cool. But some guys weren’t satisfied, so we had do to something. For example improve the way how to manage the products in the shop administration. Now one can sort products by categories. You name it. We sort it. And that’s not all. You can set a distinction between private and public products. That means there are products only you can see/order and there are products all of your visitors are able to buy. Fine?

OLP-blog extended version. We decided not to spend much time doing graphics and stuff (we ain’t got time, because we work hard). But we wanted to kick usability to a level we can go on with. As you can see: a third column showed up. There you can stay in touch with the original OLP-content, find the foto-gallery and other related stuff. The Focus still is on the relaunch of our website, so in future there will be more reports on progress, the guys involved, some features presented…

there are a lot of things to tell, because there is much going on. but, busy as we are, webspace must be left idle sometimes. what we have to tell: the fingerprint logo decorates spreadshirt and its subsidaries. we told you that allready. we stick with this. maybe you heard it allready: spreadshirt and lafraise are buddies from now on. they look even fresher each day. spreadshirt takes a little while to come out and become smart. but: the next time you can be the one to have a look at some exclusive screenshots.
for the rest: both are lodged unter the roof of the sprd.net ag, which is not showing off that much. but enough to get german green politicians attracted. (something for spreadshirt-insiders only, find out!)

We are preparing a redesign of our shop-partner-platform spreadshirt.net. Here you can see 3 different layouts.

One important change is a new small sign in front of the name “spreadshirt” and the fingerprint as main-logo for the owner of the website.

Further we decided to enlarge and sharp the spreadshirt logo family. So the spreadshirt fingerprint will shown on every spreadshirt- project as the the official spreadshirt sign in the footer to “mark” them. Every project gets an own sign, i.e.: developer.spreadshirt.net, forum.spreadshirt.net and also blog.spreadshirt.net.

After the OLP mainly is over we recognized that we had this spare time, felt a big cold emptiness, nothing to do but sitting around and we got bored A LOT. So we decided to have another contest thingy up for you guys. We called it: The Derby.

The Derby Eagle
At the Derby, it’s all about design. Your designs on our shirts. That’s why I wanted to invite you all: Join in if you like and have fun commenting, voting, submitting designs, winning 500 euros … errrm did I mention the 500 euros already? Jep. No joke. We give away 500 euros every week for the best design! Well, cu there?

olp_participatedgrand_prizeWell, whats going on here? I tell you: Last Week we met the winner of the OLP, Tarzion (or Maxime), in Hamburg. We handed over the Grand Prize, had a little schnack and met some cool guys from the PDF design magazine destructed. Btw: we also made some fotos. Look here: Konrad (the guy on the left) handing over the Wacom Tablet to Maxime. Eventually not so nice as Alexandra, but definitely a smart and glad winner I would say :)

hand overhandshake

Congratulations again, Maxime! Enjoy your tablet — and we’re awaiting your designs in your Spreadshop or The Derby which starts in a few hours.

Finally we today put our new logo up and online. For a first impression, visit the Spreadshirt.net site.
Of course it’s a snapshot, a first move on a bigger campaign, than a big bang and totally relaunch of it all. We decided against a relaunch and to develop further and further — to also use the fingeprint more as a signature than as Logo on the Top Left side. So the little signature in the right corner stands for the “Spreadshirt Family”.
Regarding the Coloring and Color Scheme: Also, we decided not to go for a really hard break for the moment and leave the blue (and red) which is known.
I hope you like it.

Hi, the spreadshirt CD-development goes on. We decided to randomize the print! So here you can see the first 5 new “prints”. Every print get a name of a (for spreadshirt) important city to get rid of the anonymous character.

We also worked on the whole concept which should stands behind the “print”. We would like to see the “print” as an individual mark on every sheet or site which is related to spreadshirt.

Currently we discuss about our new claim, color, and website

… to be continued

Hi there,
i wanted to start a documentation how we are working on our new corporate design. We keep you informed about new steps, decisions and layouts and will be happy for your feedback!

Of course we would love to redesing all cd-elements yesterday and update those two days ago ;-) … but first, we had no time machine and further we are just moving to an other office - so, everybody can imagine, at the moment we are working in a kind of chaos (well organized chaos of course!).
Thats why we have to go step by step…

Right now we checked and optimized the new signet for plot spezifications. The result: the print is well fitting to plot and print even in small sizes on shirts.

Another task is the concept around the new signet - we think about to “randomize” the print. So we maybe will have a fluid logo - an individual identity. For that we have to create similar prints to interchange them at each other.

At least for now we discuss about the typography. On one hand we have the suggestion from tarzion - it fits perfect to the print and is very individual and significant -, on the other hand we are afraid the font is too smart for spreadshirt and doesn’t represent us 100%. So we are looking for some other fonts. Besides tarzions suggestion we are having a closer look at “Futura” and “Gill Sans”. What do you think? You can have a look on the Discussion Board: Fonts.
We want to have a font which we can use also in-house, for advertisements and claims. Thats why its necessary to have a font with a high number of different languages and a high international recognizability.

Yamm Yamm .. See what waited for us this morning when we stepped into the office: Three packages with the prizes! So before we thought about what to do with them, Christoph took the chance and took high quality fotos. He not only arranged the packages for your pleasure but also setup this huge flash-thing we usually use to take our productshots. Way crazy.
After that we had a little fight with the guys from the design department to ensure the tablets are okay and needn’t to be “tested” before we give them to the winners.

Speaking of winners: A second ago, espy who had won the “best presentation award” and who happens to live in leipzig came for a short visit to grab his price.

By the way and because we’re showing fotos around anyway, here is a little snapshot from steffi - she ordered a shirt with one of her favourite drafts from paal. Checkout the shop gallery, and send us a photo with your favorite-on-a-shirt if you like.
