We are preparing a redesign of our shop-partner-platform spreadshirt.net. Here you can see 3 different layouts.

One important change is a new small sign in front of the name “spreadshirt” and the fingerprint as main-logo for the owner of the website.

Further we decided to enlarge and sharp the spreadshirt logo family. So the spreadshirt fingerprint will shown on every spreadshirt- project as the the official spreadshirt sign in the footer to “mark” them. Every project gets an own sign, i.e.: developer.spreadshirt.net, forum.spreadshirt.net and also blog.spreadshirt.net.

Hi, the spreadshirt CD-development goes on. We decided to randomize the print! So here you can see the first 5 new “prints”. Every print get a name of a (for spreadshirt) important city to get rid of the anonymous character.

We also worked on the whole concept which should stands behind the “print”. We would like to see the “print” as an individual mark on every sheet or site which is related to spreadshirt.

Currently we discuss about our new claim, color, and website

… to be continued

Hi there,
i wanted to start a documentation how we are working on our new corporate design. We keep you informed about new steps, decisions and layouts and will be happy for your feedback!

Of course we would love to redesing all cd-elements yesterday and update those two days ago ;-) … but first, we had no time machine and further we are just moving to an other office - so, everybody can imagine, at the moment we are working in a kind of chaos (well organized chaos of course!).
Thats why we have to go step by step…

Right now we checked and optimized the new signet for plot spezifications. The result: the print is well fitting to plot and print even in small sizes on shirts.

Another task is the concept around the new signet - we think about to “randomize” the print. So we maybe will have a fluid logo - an individual identity. For that we have to create similar prints to interchange them at each other.

At least for now we discuss about the typography. On one hand we have the suggestion from tarzion - it fits perfect to the print and is very individual and significant -, on the other hand we are afraid the font is too smart for spreadshirt and doesn’t represent us 100%. So we are looking for some other fonts. Besides tarzions suggestion we are having a closer look at “Futura” and “Gill Sans”. What do you think? You can have a look on the Discussion Board: Fonts.
We want to have a font which we can use also in-house, for advertisements and claims. Thats why its necessary to have a font with a high number of different languages and a high international recognizability.

Come in and find out ;-)

We have been talking about the categories for the nominations yesterday. Our idea is that there will be categories like “best logo” and “best concept” of course, but besides we discussed having some more nominations like “best creative entry” or something. What do you think? And: which category would you like to vote on? Could be something funny, too.

Yeah let’s celebrate again: We broke the 500 entry border! And honestly we want to dedicate the 500th entry to our coder Thomas. Let’s say thanks for his work!
By the way, while celebrating the 500. entry it´s not only time to give big hugs to everyone in the Spreadshirt Bureau, but also to announce our next big “milestone”: The Survey from Spreadshirt and our Sponsor Wacom. Of course this isn´t something you might say, “Woooho: Give me your questions, I´ve been waiting for this!” But it´s really very important for us to learn a little bit more about you, your profession and your opinion regarding the OLP. And also the results of the survey will be part of a detailed feedback that we are planning at the moment and will post in the next week. So all of you know what to improve or where to go for further. If you have 5 minutes for a little break, take part in our survey. Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi@all!
Now there are new gallery sort functions available:

- gallery by name
- gallery by score*

___________________________

*What´s the score?
The score helps you to find good entries by comparing the absolut number of votes with the average rating. This means: entries that received more votes will be quoted higher than entries which received quite a few, but very good ranking.

Spreadshirt needs a logo and gets a „Label“.

The aim of the concept is to establish a signet, that represents and identifies Spreadshirt detached from the trademark/company name. By using the signet beyond the borders of a logo, a high level of branding effect should be reached.

See the whole concept as pdf with further images here

Signet:
The signet is the basic element of the logo/concept. Its timeless and serious. It has a positively, dynamicly and upwardly movement. The very easy shape garanties an unrestrictedly cross-media usability. The high level of abstraction take all content to one point. It symbolizes:
a roof and shows the attribute of „roof-company“
printing of designs/transfer-sheets
a lable, i.e. outside of textiles

Font:
Syntax LT Black (trademark) and Syntax LT UltraBlack (claim) is used. The font has a high numer of additional characters, so she is properly for international usage.

Variations:
According to the kind of usage one of those variations can be used.

Usability:
The logo can used everywhere as positive and negative.
The signet can also used as graphically element for design detached from the trademark/company name. I.e. „Label“ on the product and „Label“on the photo.

Color:
The color of the logo isn’t defined and can be variated according to the kind of usage. The logo should have two colors as a maximum. There should be used the color-conzept of the CD to reache a graphically clip also on the level of color. The signet as graphically element in function as „Label“ should be colored only in on color – i suggest the signal-color „red“.

Claim:
„Claim up your life“
-> its only a dummy :-)
-> i want to focus my entry
only on the logo!
Let’s discuss about!

Here comes another short intermission because we finished our first poll last week: Remember? We asked Does Spreadshirt need a new CD? The result was not surprising, but straight in the face: Almost 60 of the 86 votes voted against the old Corporate Design, with other words: you told us that the Spreadlady sucks a lot. Thanks a lot!
Now, here is another vote: What color / color scheme do you prefer?”
Does the old blue still look fresh to you or do we need an update, too? If you find our Answers boring, you can add another favourite color scheme to the poll also.

To discuss about Fonts its a very large field but even important. Next to the visuals, typography is the second important element in a kombination of trademarkt/logo. Here is the right place to discuss about fonts and typography!
