On the weekend of the 26th Oct the Designers Open comes to Leipzig (Spreadshirts home in the east of Germany). Its a really nice event with some great designers exhibiting their works over the whole weekend in this super strange building called “Blechbüchse”:

We have a slot at 7pm on the Saturday to use the catwalk. We did a fashion show at the event last year with our friends Kaputage so here are some pics to give you an idea (this year its a bigger event, in a new building):

We were unveiling these winning shirts from another design contest for London Design Festival.

The plan is to show some of your work, review the project and then reveal the 3rd, 2nd and 1st place winners with Spreadshirt staff, hopefully some of you guys and also the press attending. Afterwards they’ll be a little after show party for the Designers Open but also with a Spreadshirt & OLP flavour. There will be a press where you can customize shirts, and two beamers which will project every entry that came into the contest onto the wall throughout the evening.

Leipzig is about 1hr from Berlin, so if any of you are around we’d love to see you there to help us wrap up the contest in style. If not they’ll be full coverage on the blog and I’ll timestamp a post to go up at 7pm revealing the winners so you know at exactly the same time as the crowd at the Designers Open.

Over the next few weeks we’ll start discussing the panel prizes as well, and we have a nice linkup with la Fraise to talk to you about so they’ll be plenty happening around here.

    panem et circensis!
yeah, that’s the kind of spreadshirt-tee party I like …
I hope there’s free drinks for all those who joined OLP but did not win anything.
this might keep them from running amok, and ruining the event ;)
    cheers!
