@Adam:
About the sticker idea those are the entries I posted on wk2:
http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/09/05/label-stick/
and
http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/09/06/stick-label/
The first one also had a second version, but here it is no longer a sticker
http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/09/13/label-stick-v2/

This also involved stickers
http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/09/12/a-child-play/

And I'm sure I saw others, but don't have the time to find'em now :P

Sorry for your headache :) maybe i understand why, but i’m really disagree with your explanation.

And you could accomplish the same concept with Think_Spreadshirt Update?
Thank you; if bubble-label was in week one , Think_spreadshirt out?
in that case, rules are : no more hole (”Label Cut Hole”) no more tag (’”Tag your Brand”) no more shirt-tag (”Label Spread”) no more “almost-bubble” (”Think Spreadshirt_update”) … no more cross-concept, and finaly no brief?

Same concept?
the “how-to” use the logo , extend and play with the shirt
variations same concept? concept.execution.evolution !
Far away, an eyelet ( letterhead for example) and close up a bubble speech : same concept?
Not relevant for the first time viewer, but i expect there is not only first time viewers!

Speech Bubble logos also have the problem of being generic?
blogcode.com ? is it generic for somebody and not for someone else?
easy to read, flexible, one color version, web, print big, small … that is generic for every finalist (i spare you examples), a pure accident?

Thanks for your levelheadedness guys, I was sort of ducking ready for a barrage of abuse :)

@Mootsie: Yeah, maybe my memory doesn't stretch back that far :) but i'll happily eat humble pie, if you want to drop some links.

@Japasa: Thanks for being understanding.

@Pascalphilly: One of the panel voted for you, it was Branded. Here is what they said about Mannequins: "love it - energetic, warm, human, a bit daft, easy to read, different". I don't think any of us would doubt this description of Mannequins which is why it made the shortlist. But then the discussion of whether we could look at the top of the Spreadshirt page and see Mannequins, we felt that we couldn't. Maybe its too playful, maybe just not quite appropriate enough (two naked people holding hands :)

But we hadn't seen the new version of Mannequins, so we'll re-review that version on Monday.

As for so easy, yeah that one came close I thought we'd given feedback on that in past weeks, if not I apologise. I'd say don't work on that one anymore, we have seen enough version of it now and we can always bring it back in as a wildcard. But your new drafts of it are really excellent and I like how your ideas keep evolving.

@Green: Up to you. It was popular with the panel, so if you think its worth a redesign you could work on increasing its suitability to Spreadshirt or the way it incorporates your own label. Its hard for me to talk for all the staff and the panel, so to say for definite keep working on something or not. Personally I don't think its a winning idea, but Manuel for example was into it and thinking how maybe it could be incorporated into other designs like Bubble Label to show the idea of easily changing what the t-shirts are saying. So that has probably only left you even more confused, sorry :(

Right now I'm packing for US trip and then bed, I guess i'll be offline and not able to follow this thread for 24hrs, take it easy guys!

this is a really surprising end of the shortlists´5th week! i think there are still some logos for the grand final, but they have to be developed to get to the point. otherwise, this week was a "freestyle" one with very creative ideas.

Wow, thats a surprise :(
I can see your arguments on some points, like similarity to already grand finalists. But I thought "Mannequines" was pretty different. What were your concerns about that one? If it was not even "close to got picked" then its no use to work more on that, is that right?

Sometimes its really confusing, when you guys say its pretty close and its worth working more on that, but then I got no more comments from your side. As with these two, where I never knew, what was you real opinion to those, nearly selected but then not:

http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/09/22/so-easy-revised/#comments
http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/09/27/so-easy-reduced-shape/

I wount start crying if you say screw those ideas, but sometimes I feel as if you would just turn a logo down cause you dont like colors or fonts, and then its not completely lost. So please take a few seconds and give me you opinion. THANKS.

PS: Sorry Japasa, yours was still a fav of mine

I'm agree with most jury/adma's comments. Also note than personally I just like it one of 7 current grand finalists; it has s a lot of possibilities to develop further but IMHO still it doesn´t match full required SS brief and also clash with most CEO suggestions past week. Looks like SS has actually a severe logo's OVERDOSE :-) and I'm afraid it will end up with a conservative logo instead of take some risk as their potential "creative" customers BUT for me it's totally OK. Of course, It's your business and we can NOT complain just let you know our concerns to improve our proposals and match your brief. Anyway, stop crying ... It's a great experience taking part on this open competition and surely we novelty and experienced designers will surprise you anytime soon :-) Thank you.

"Could be a great logo, but maybe not for us"
"...even overlooking the fact that we don’t make stickers."

I'm so confused . Should I work on a redesign ? Or you just removed the sticker idea from the list ?
