About Branded
Branded is an international branding company whose clients include Spreadshirt, Yahoo, AOL, Extreme Sports Channel and a host of other on and offline brands. They also worked with us on the branding initiative that provided the research resulting in our new tagline and this here competition.
So what have you seen thats nailed those three criteria so far? I’ll offer up a few of the following:
Spreadshirt Colour Update by Namelok - I know the Branded guys were big fans of this.
Spreadshirt TM by Family, here is what they said about it “looks indie, edgy and different.” Might be a little lacking the humour aspect though, what do you think?
What are suggestions for this prize? hand up who wants a Ipod Touch? (*raises hand*)

a wonderful prize , good luck to all competitors . . .
*raises hand* … but honestly my entries are not that funny, rather too serious. But thats what a brand has to have in my opinion, communicate trustworthiness to the client…
But whatever, if it goes to humor, i would like to announce Labelheads by legofish:

In my opinion a little too playful for a professional brand logo, but still good quality and also the work on the avatar-flash-application is to be honored.
Therefore a great one for the humor price. go get it legofish ;)
yeah i wouldn’t get too caught up on the humour aspect, it does say only “a little wit” so its more about being playful I would guess…
ah, then I got it wrong… but its definitely playful.
My suggestions for this prize is Japasa - Hands
a) a fresh idea,
b) a simple, clear & bold design
c) a little wit.

(As all my works it came to late here but already managed to get some fans. Especially Shirtnerd. Thank you Shirtnerd for your support. I know that you want to sleep with me as well as you said… ; ) … And possibly that is why you are that sweet with commenting my work… But I am happy actually about your true and really intensive attention and sympathy instead… You moved me to poetry… )
Also I would like to nominate ”Your Own Look” as totaly finished and I would say ULTIMATE concept of all ROUND SHAPE-CIRCLE-HOLE-LABELS designs.
http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/10/15/your-own-look/
Unfortulately it is only about those requests from this contest… I mean it only talk about ”Your Own Label” so I am not sure is it qualified for this prize? Well… It wasn’t qualified for Spread Shirt - Your Own Label so… I don’t know… But I REALLY THINK that it is..
1) a fresh, inovative idea,
2) a simple, clear & bold design
3) a little wit.
So… Maybe, finaly someone will agree with me after all… No matter to presumptions… I really hope so… Cause… I did it with lot of passion and lot of an effort to find and realize the ultimate concepts.
I want to nominate the design from wanshu: http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/10/14/pick-your-own/
His “Pick Your Own” concept simply summarizes the purpose and usability of SpreadShirt. It gives the user a sense of what SpreadShirt can do for you in the logo itself. And that stands on it’s own. The campaign posters also show the author’s sense of humor, and I can just imagine an advertizing compaign with that format to create some laughs and get people to remember the brand.
