We didn’t hit Boingboing or TechCrunch - but in the last two days we had a nice traffic peak, sparkled by a blog post at laFraise and some newsletter sendouts. For the numbercrunchers: We’ve reached more than 7,500 unique users yesterday, with an average of 2,500 daily users. We have more than 1,100 designers registered, with an average hangout time of about 10 minutes - and most important, we are scratching close at the 1,000 submissions mark (*Update* - we made it).

Speaking of entries, we are also very happy to see that the OLP has become really international - we even get submissions from countries where spreadshirt doesn’t deliver (yet). Just to give you an idea, have a look at this little snapshot:

Also we’ve had some great feedback - from what I understand - since it’s getting more multilingual, for example check sofanaranja or theimall (Spanish), designerblog.it or psdrevolution (Italian), pingstate (Finnish) or dizajnzona (I guess from Serbia? Update: Yep).

The quiz

For me as a marketer it is of course also very interesting to see the cultural differences - what do you think? That’s why we thought we do a little game, a country quiz:
See below some “country sides” - designs from different countries, yet continents. Try to find out the designers of the submissions below and where they come from. The one who finds out first which design comes from which country wins a free laFraise shirt! (put your ideas in the comments)

I’m only sure about to of them ! The first one is made by Grafanna (from Italia) and the third one is by Ulahts (who seems to come from Romania)… But I can’t find the second one in the entries !! I still looking for it !!

  2. 2 by Lufograf | Sep 20th, 2007 at 11:32 am

Not “to” but “two of them” (of course !) ^^

  3. 3 by adam | Sep 20th, 2007 at 12:56 pm

A good start Lufograf! Anyone able to hunt down the second entry?

  4. 4 by ami | Sep 20th, 2007 at 12:58 pm

aye, ayyyeee — verry verrrry hot, lufograf.
    1. italy
    2. ?
    3. romania
-> any other guesses or ideas?

btw. I admit the 2nd draft is very tricky, and you might not find it by just scrolling through all entries, but keep on going …

  6. 6 by ami | Sep 20th, 2007 at 2:58 pm

2 out of 3 are right!

  7. 7 by legofish | Sep 20th, 2007 at 3:50 pm

hmm, so it’s down to finding Laurent’s location I guess. I’m gonna take a guess.

    1. Grafanna (Italy)
    2. Laurent (Canada)
    3. Ulahts (Roumania)

  8. 8 by legofish | Sep 20th, 2007 at 3:53 pm

woops, my bad, that’s not Laurent’s design after all … and the hunt continues …

  9. 9 by ami | Sep 20th, 2007 at 4:10 pm

yeppa, I’ll help you a little bit then:

    1. Italy - right! grafanna with “creative eye”, one of the first entries
    2. ?
    3. Romania - right! Ulaht’s entry: “funny?”
now who will find the second entry … and where does it come from?

  10. 10 by Sboubi | Sep 20th, 2007 at 4:24 pm

    1. Grafanna (Italy)

Yes, www.dizajnzona.com is from Serbia. It is online design forum for many countries (former Yugoslavia republics). I post my designs there to see peoples reactions and comments on my design :)
Here is link of your competition http://www.dizajnzona.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38342 (maybe you can not see it becouse you are not member)

I think that the second entrie is probably come from Namelok…
If so, for the country I would say one from Eastern Europe : Serbia or other ?

  14. 14 by ami | Sep 20th, 2007 at 5:17 pm

thanks, nikotin - and sorry .. the heart draft doesn’t come from serbia :/

  15. 15 by Lufograf | Sep 20th, 2007 at 5:51 pm

Not from serbia but is the heart draft come from Namelok ?

  16. 16 by ami | Sep 20th, 2007 at 7:09 pm

nope, sorry - not from namelok and not from serbia ..
I can only repeat - I know it is the hardest one, but I’m sure you will find the solution if you read my comments above - and since you found 1 & 3 very quick, too :)

  17. 17 by legofish | Sep 20th, 2007 at 7:33 pm

it’s by barrett , scottish born designer living in Australia :) So to complete the list:

    1. Grafanna (Italy)
    2. barrett (Australia)
    3. Ulahts (Roumania)

p.s. I didn’t actually go thru all the entries, just googled “spreadshirt logo heart” and it was the second result.

  18. 18 by legofish | Sep 20th, 2007 at 7:38 pm

altho i admit i went through most of the entries to find it

  19. 19 by ami | Sep 20th, 2007 at 7:53 pm

legofish - today seems to be your day :D
you are absolutely right .. it’s by barrett, and the country is australia! the tricky part was the “wrong” preview, but with a click on the “heart” tag it should have been not too hard …

    1. Italy - grafanna with “creative eye”, week1
    2. Australia - barrett with “for the love of it”, week2
    3. Romania - Ulaht’s entry: “funny?”, week3

legofish - you’ve won a lafraise shirt, congraz! (and I know for which shirt I would go, definitely the bubble bobble one)

  20. 20 by Lufograf | Sep 20th, 2007 at 8:05 pm
