I don't really see a logo here. What i see is a circle with text in it and a shirt with "TM" on it.There are hundreds of "text in circles" logos out there, it's not really a new or unique concept...actually i think "text in circle" is a non-concept really.Besides, a logo should always look good in very small sizes as well *and* be recognizable - i bet if you shrink this one down to thumbnail size all that is left to see will be a block of white text/something in a black circle. Not exceptionallly unique or clever i'd say, sorry.

The idea with the big TM is good and a similar thought as I had (http://olp.spreadshirt.net/entries/2007/09/05/copyrightstyle/).
As dazzler mentioned, the big bold TM is a bit confusing though. It would rather tell me TM to be the initials of the brand or something like that.
As to the circular aspect: Circular should only be used when needed or reasonable. Like most of the big car brands for that the circular shape for their logo what stands for motion. But in this one it seems no reason for that and really reminds of stickers.

Ah, you missed out there – always choose a dentist on the quality of his stickers, I say. There once was a dental chap who handed out lollipops to kids after their check-up too, presumably so he could guarantee a bit of repeat business (in more ways than one).

The stickers tended to look a bit like: http://www.primaryteaching.co.uk/acatalog/A147.gif

well, this is what I like about the logo - the big fat TM (in your face) - which supports the label idea more than a lot of other drafts ..
I'm not too sure about the typo and the little neck rounder under "a" and "d".

but actually .. tell us more about your dentist - you've had stickers? thats kind of unfair - I was only always told about the bad bacteria and they gave me "karius & bactus" .. a really frightening cartoon that would give you boring but very healthy hints. ;)

Circular logos... hmm, only one that springs to mind is Starbucks, which isn't a good sign. Done well I think it's a nice simple shape, and it does bring up connotations of those stickers you got from the dentist as a child – good for reinforcing the 'label' part of the brief.

As far as this one goes, I think it needs to either be more complex or more simple – it's a bit awkward with the 'TM' much larger than the tagline, and that full-stop is just horrible. The one in the picture works well because it is a simple, arresting slogan – this is harder to achieve when you're trying to fit more information into the same tight space.
