One particular design is getting a lot of love at the moment, its “pen shirt” by theoze. Check out some of these comments:

Mootsie: “Pen-shirt by Theoze is the kind of logo that makes you think, without any doubt “this just works!” ”

Logodesigner: “Let me add it beats any other entry so far (including mine) in terms of bringing across the “your own label” message.I give respect where respect is due and as far as i’m concerned this contest could be ending right now as this is a perfect logo for this client.”

Aiduk: “I think this simply works”

What do you think? Does it answer the brief? Is it memorable enough? Do you think it could be improved in anyway?

I like it too – it’s simple, but describes the personalisation quite well. I’m not sure it’s that striking or memorable (perhaps could use a full-colour shirt?) and the typeface looks a little narrow, but otherwise it’s a nice concept.

Only real ‘concept criticism’ is that I think the pencil is a bit dominant at present, the equal weight to that and the T-shirt suggests to me that spreadshirt is a branding printing company (you know, ‘your logo on shirts, ball-pens, mousemats etc’). But I’m sure that can be remedied.

it’s nicely done and I like the concept, since you can use it for other stuff besides the t-shirt as well - but for me the pencil is the kick out.

Yep I agree with you Dazzler, I also find the pencil a little too prominent and maybe also a touch childish/simplistic.

i think it’s not the winner, but one of the finalists. i like the concept, but agree with adam that it’s a bit too, not childish, but…too graphic heavy. i mean it would rather fit to something like teetonic, lafraise, companies which focus more on the designers needs.

what i also would like to point out is, that you can see on the draft, how important it is to present your stuff well and put some effort in the presentation. i did not recognized the logo by skipping through the subs, mootsie made me look at it by commenting on another post. but when i saw the presentation, you really got an impression.

It really looks nice and clean, i like it a lot - but it may be a bit boring and feels more like a icon that could be used on the website.

Well the design is very good - i like it too, but i think it is not that perfect as somebody says… such a pencil you can find everywhere and i’m not sure if anybody would connect this icon without the text with spreadshirt. but anyway it should be one of the finalists

For me not a Brand at all. It will not work for the future.

I like the simplicity and execution but as I already mentioned on the entry itself it appears to me rather like a “paint on your shirt” thing - painting with fabric color ore something. The professional part is somewhat missing in this, although the reduced style is definitely working and the logo is done in a great quality. The message is just not that convincing to me.

Again a Shirt Logo for SS…. You can see this kind of work at every corner in the wild web.
Why SS dont yust choose one of the 500 Shirt Logos of the first OLP?

I like it because it says “your own label” much more than any “price tag” label logo ever could.

I like the idea behind it and the simpleness. But like others the pencil throws it off for me.

I had not seen the x-ray one concerning my logo! Thank you! I take all your remarks in considerations and if ever the Spreadshirt’s team wish that it belong to the shortlist, I would arrange it so that you like it still more. ;) Thx again.

It’s an decent logo but compared to your current fingerprint logo it breathes a lot less class. The shapes, font etc are a lot less sophisticated than the swirly fingerprint logo. Honestly, from all the entries I have seen here only one seemed better than the current logo and that one didn’t make it through to the finals. Frustrating that I can’t think of something better…

Well, it defnitely say something about clothing and create. But it doesn’t communicates anything else, nothing trendy, cool and it definitely doesn’t inspire to be creative. It’s, to be honest, pretty dull. It’s decent but that’s about it I think. Good work though.
