Aloha all! The next voting is right here. You see: We´re getting closer. Today we want to point again on the briefing. We want to award outstanding entries, as well the ones who rather didn´t match our requirements and the ones with the best concept. Both difficult categories with quite an amount of potential nominees. But in the end, we had to make a choice. If you want to discuss a nominee please do so on the regarding detail page of the entry.

Here is more on the categories in detail:

* Failed requirements / ntrtb (next time read the briefing) award

Changing the logo isn´t something a company does every year or when someone feels like it could be a little fresher now. It´s a choice you make once in a decade, even more seldom. Most of the very important and influential brands didn´t even “change” their logo but only “refreshed” it. This is why we´ve set high expectations after we decided we want to have it totally new. And of course sticking on the briefing was not easy sometimes. To keep it way fun we obviously published nearly every entry. Now its time to also celebrate the drafts that really flunked it, missed almost everything we need. If you are a nominee here please take it with humor, as we did when we scanned some of the drafts and discussed how to bring this specific design on an invoice or business letter or something.

* Great concept / The Details award

Of course we also want to award the other part of the really outstanding drafts: Some of you brought us really great concepts. And: Giving us a great concept was what we are looking for. To point out the entries that did a really good job when defining spreadshirt and our business we decided to have not only a open logo award, but also a “details award”. So, this is the details award.

And this is the last day before we do the grand selection: Ladies and Gentlemen, your voting starts here.

yeahhh, I love the krickelei concept by lak :)
but ami, are there always only 8 nominees in each category?!
sometimes there are entries where I ask me why they aren’t nominated and so on …I miss some entries …but I don’t know how much categories exist … 1000:8 = 125 ?! *lol :D
is this voting like the “champions league”-voting system ?! that means if someone is voted he is in the next level and the final winner/logo is the official one ?!

    kind regards, steve :)

steve: we even tried to get less than 8 — some of us only wanted 4 or max. 5 entries per category! so we decided to have a regular “top5″ for some categories, and some more for the categories we saw more than 5 favorites. which entry/ies do you miss?

thank you for the answer :)
well, which do I miss?! …hmm …I have no special one, but when I look in the gallery sometimes there are creations where I say “wow, I like it” and that I had nominated instead of other ones …
but that’s only my meaning ….everyone has an other favorit ;-)

Hi ! I’m very disappointed to see that there are a lot of designers (real designers !) who took a long time to make proposals and to produce real good work, very nice logos … (I precise did not design anything so I’m neutral). All the nominees so far, or most of them at least, did not deserve any prize !!
I understand that you want to give prizes to people who helped you have fun and made you laugh but then you made a mistake when choosing the title of the contest …
None of the nominations, exception for 2 or 3 designs between the 6 categories, are real logos, and what you call interesting creations or concepts are designs that even my little daughter could produce …!! Are you really professional people ? Or maybe you chose the nominees betweed friends of yours or something like that ? I found the concept interesting but now I’m sure I won’t vote for anybody. You don’t encourage designers by doing this : the guy who made the most awful designs and whose votes are for all of them around 1.1 is nominated 3 times and has a big chance to earn money ??!!!! What an insult for the others who did it seriously and waste their time …
And I prefer not to think about the fact that it is the one who is the best at cleaning the IE cookies or who has the most friends able to cheat for him, who will be the winner. I’m surprised that your sponsor accepts these rules …
I hope that you will nominate real good works for the future nominations but anyway you already lost all your credibility. (sorry to be so angry this morning …!)

hey ms. angry - where do you know from who will win which prize? .. guess why we didn´t say who will win what exactly? ;)

and, of course we want to encourage any designer to work in future, too. the task was to bring us a new logo and the aim is to encourage *any* designers. so we thought to integrate designers who didn´t match the briefing as well as the ones who did a great job for this briefing (in our opinion). we also thought about encouraging the ones who aren´t nominated at all, which is most of the designers here of course. but please understand that we can´t award *every* design — and we will try everything to have a “happy end” for almost every one here … but just please have a little patience. and please also note that the final category which is “the best logo” hasn´t been nominated so far.

some categories which have been revealed in the last days shouldnt be taken too serious. read the description. nobody said that these guys are the winners.

OK So let’s see what these guys will win and who will be nominated for the serious categories … and then I may change my mind about the contest … (even if I dont agree with the way of voting you chose)
    Thanks for your answers :)
