I´m writing my diploma thesis about open source marketing and kept an eye on the open logo project as it is possibly a good example for open source driven marketing that works. While we are all waiting for the results, maybe we could also discuss a litle bit your motivations to spend time and know-how and creativity in this project? Would be great help to understand why such projects can and often do work. Thanks!

I took part on the olp because I like spreadshirt and I’m satisfied with its products - I wouldn’t design a logo for a company which products I don’t like …
Well, and I love to design …and tell me, which designer wouldn’t be proud that his logo decorates such a company ;-)
hmm…and … I think a main aspect for a lot of people taking part on the olp is the price/money?!
don’t know … but I know that I could pay a female singer for my trance tracks with it ;-) …otherwise I can’t produce …
well, such contests can give you the chance to realize your dreams ….
that’s one of the reasons why I like spreadshirt ….they don’t make things only on their one …they also give their customers the chance to take part and let them act as an part of the company …
there could be more companies like spreadshirt !!!
