Hi there,
i’m very proud to see the the high number of submissions and comments and i’m also happy about the high qualitiy and creativity of the most entries! Keep going :-)

Unfortunately it seems to be that the most of you don’t read the briefing or don’t understand what spreadshirt realy needs. I’ll try to collect the main things:

Logo:
We need an strong symbol with the charakter of a label - it should be very easy to reproduce on every media especially on the web (i.e. as fav-icon). Therefore it shouldn’t be filigran or complex.
Thats why i like the following entries:

Font:
The font have to be easy to reproduce even in small sizes. Also we have to think about our internationals situation.
Thats why i like the following entries:

Conzept:
Think about the whole aim! We want to create a new corporate design. Thats why we need further ideas how do you want to use your logo or graphical elements - a graphical clip. You also can give the author of a logo some hint to use his logo in some other ways.
The following entries give you an idea what we mean:

Let’s discuss and answer questions about these requirements here!

Well, you’re right. Not everybody has read the briefing ;)

Thanks that you mentioned my logo. When you mention these logos as an example in a category (Font, Concept…) - do you mean with this statement, that they don’t fit to the rest of the categories?

I hope you understood ;) My logo is mentioned in the chapter “Font”. Is only the font good of my logo and the rest is bad? That’smy question ;)

Without worsen the other logo-entries - I think that 80% of the submitted logos are not reproducible :(

Hi getimo, i like your submission because its based on a strong idea. Your concept is expandable and adaptable for many fields of application! -> good!

The category “logo” is the weakeliest point of your entry - yes, the shirt match to your font and concept but i think its too boring - also the symbol/logo should be filled and not transposed with outlines.

how about my krackelei? why wasn’t it mentioned for at least one of the categories? hmmmm, probably because of it fullfills each of the criterias?

Hey lak, I like your krackelei! Maybe it is not mentioned in any category cause of it’s individual design. It’s a little bit too krackelei - my opinion.

@mb: Thank you for your feedback! Especially the hint with the outlined Shirt. In my honest opinion I would totally kill the Shirt-Symbol cause spreadshirt doesn’t offer only shirts! Spreadshirt delievers Caps, Hats, String-Tangas ;) etc.

Now my question: Can I edit my entry or am I allowed to post a new optimized version? Many designer are uploading a plenty of concepts??

getimo: you can´t edit your entry once it´s published. would be too much “hack” and because we haven´t a limit and don´t count how many entries someone posts or something, it´s okay if you just upload your adapted or updated one — if you don´t want to make too many words, just rely and link on your older draft.

To all the “S” Logo-designers & the spreadshirt-crew: Ever heard of shirtcity.com ? Please take some time to look it up. What do you think now about using a capital “S” in your new LOGO. Wanna be like shirtcity ???
