s-konzeptSpreadshirt is trying to create a trademark. And is looking for a meanful and stable logo that will work in well in cross-media applications.

The idea of the “S concept” is to visualize both the strength and the creative spirit of Spreadshirt. I have tried to create a single basic element that can be further used for other applications. But that remains stable and can’t be misinterpreted.

The organic character of the logo (it looks almost like a leaf on a stick) stays for nature, simplicity, lightness, happiness and, last but not least, growth. And promote a positive response. The “S” (leaf) points up and suggests a positive move towards the future. It is dynamic and stable and timeless and stands for speed.

s-konzept_applicationFlexible application is very important for a worldwide company. Therefore, I made the logo dividible into parts that work in both content and function as individual parts, while keeping the meaning of the complete logo. Every component stands alone for Spreadshirt’s character.

For usage applications (e.g. signs, business cards) the design is flexible and easy to fit.

I chose „New Helvetica“ as fontfamily. With its clear texts, it is easy to read and remains timeless. And matches an international organization.

I really like it since it’s got a square shape which is always a good start for a logo. Also the “wallpaperbility” is an amazing idea.

    Wow, this is nice…
I really like the idea, because you can use it in so many ways… like you already did…
The best I’ve seen today, but there is one thing which doesn’t fit (in my opinion)…
“.net” under “spreadshirt” reminds me of Microsofts “dot net” and I don’t wanna see spreadshirt is token over by microsoft… ;)
    …Excuse my mistakes…

    hey mb,

congratulations, even after several weeks, this one remains my total favourite.

the only serious competitor, in my eyes, is “ss4″ - which doesn’t meet the requirements due to the gradient.

    big up!

    hi mb,

your work is by far the best - perfect balance of size space and density and the flexibility and play possibilities of your logo is unique.

    2nd big up!

Nice execution and solid design. The only drawback I experience is Sun Microsystems was the first thing that came to mind. A solid entry!

This is a sweet idea and to be honest prefer your original to missionx’s although it is good proof of a good logo that different people can use it to create appealling work and that it works with colour.

    The flower is genius!

reminds me macromedia’s logo balance. Gives me an idea of technologie and web but not of the business model of spreadshirt.

    Best regards…

It reminds me of “Wanadoo” logo (french internet provider). But nice idea although!

sorry, i don’t see any visualized idea in this logo. a flower which consists of 6 “s” ?

i agree, it looks nice, nice shape…bla… but why a flower for spreadshirt?

    It is graphicly interesting.

    Simple and nice !

But i prefer originality and spreadshirt for me has to be original.

    I like it anyway

we know this shape has been used before Mic so its not necessary to search for similar designs.

Thanx a lot Smutje for the indoctrination.
    I´m really sorry.
I saw the design here and thought that it´s nice. Some days later I saw the similar shape on TV. Believe it or not I didn´t search.

i only wanted so say that it doesnt matter that somebody saw a similar design as long as you dont know who created this shape first and im sure it wasnt viva.tv
i’ve seen this simple shape so often that i really dont care about it.

jeah, because it was meant to be that open — manuel (mb), the designer of the draft here works at spreadshirt .. and we wanted to give something "organic" to work on if you like it.

Looks nice, but beware using a logo to make other interesting shapes. Legal maintenance of a logo usually requires that you use it exactly the way it’s defined, all the time. If you start using it to make other pictures or as part of a bigger shape, you risk giving up the protections of a trademarked symbol.
