The mark I created for this logo is both an abstract human form and an asterisk (used in writing and printing as a reference mark or to indicate omission). In this case, it is a “reference” to the consumer or end user - without whom, the label is incomplete.

The blue part of the symbol stands for individuality & standing out of the crowd with your own customized clothes from spreadshirt. (the “i”point from “shirt” is emphasing this fact of “your own shirt/label/something special”)
The grey part of the symbol stands for spread. In addition with the blue part of the symbol it is result in/meaning:
“spreadshirt, your own label”
I tried to create a logo with another than the typical “shirt” approach, something more abstract. When I played around with ideas, images, I came to think about the word “spread” and alternate meanings.
Like, well, spread as in “something you put on your bread”.
So I designed this stylized piece of bread with some spread on it. Everyone’s free to put on the bread what one likes best.

This one is like ur old logo but it is a more abstract fingerprint and represents more the “own label” tag. You can change your colors in the print & web ads/poster and so on.. like u want to give it the meaning of individuallity. I think it represent the SPREAD->SHiRT company name very good as well.

I mean the concept of do it yourself. The words Spread and shirt are separated with an abstractive tee-shirt to show people can do it with ease (facilitité) - The leitmotiv is Create your own label
