I should add that I do happen to think this logo is the closest to the brief. I just think it's more suited for print than web.

@Helle_Koed

Your partially right. Yes there's certainly more flexibility about what an actual logo should look like these days. But it's all in the application. And spreadshirt is mainly an on-line business platform. And on-line, the logos that work best are compact and can be resized to very small sizes without losing its compositional integrity. Look at the sample on the card at arms length, both the overall t shirt shape and the graphic details just break apart. Place that next to a strong icon or logotype like computer arts or computerlove and put them on the same web page with all the content of images and text. At that size there's no question that it'll struggle to command the viewer's attention.

I like the additions u made on this, but I prefer the last version because it is hard to recognize the sleeves of the shirt..

Formikula
I do not agree... If you look back in time an compare logos ,how they used to look like I agree.

But to day logos has to be a whole identity. The future wants an experience rather than a boring and silent logoshape.

I think you have to keep up with time and get people more than just soomething to look at - you have to give them thoughts, ideas, meanings...

Sure this logo has a lot of elements and is not correct when you look at all the old rules and yes I have heard every thing what they wanted to teach me at school, but that was then... THIS IS NOW! ;)

I think you have a really fun and flexible logo. I have no doubt that your logo is the best for SpreadShirt :) Good luck and as we say in Denmark: "pøj pøj" :p

Amalgam logos are perfect for big companies heading for world domination, since they are not as rigid and threatening as the monolithic logos, but more cuddly like clouds of droplets.
It is hard to be intimidated by a fuzzy cloud of small happy symbols, isn't it?
who cares whether people are killed for coca cola or where exactly our clothes come from if they have such a cute logo :D

check out this excellent article by brand eins on global branding (german only)

Hi there! Honestly, mm the presentation, the poster, the card...it's really well done..but, maybe I'm wrong, I continue to look at this, and for me it's not a logo, this is graphic, illustration and again a good concept, but not a logo..anyway people seems they like it so doesn't matter it's just my opinion! ;)

Jebs > Your english is perfect (for me ^^) moreover I agree with you : I was working on differents solutions for small sizes but the time was too short !

Ami > You're absolultly right it's not only you (no need to consult !) ;), the right sleeve is too small... arrrghh ! That's what happens when you work in a hurry :/
God ! Why the days are so short ? :D

I agree about the size problem. Since spreadshirt is mainly an on-line campaign other websites usually use very small icons to link their affiliates.

But it's very well put together. I especially like the bus poster version (w/o the guns of course).

still not sure if it works on a smaller size - but it's still great and a very cool improvement. I like the smilie on the right bottom corner .. looks like as if he would have all the ideas (being king, making money, etc.) -- this is great!
One thing, maybe it's just me and a little detail - but I find the right sleeve of the shirt a little bit smaller as the left one (maybe because of the "blocky" ipod) .. do you see what I mean?

yeah Lufograf, i can tell you that's easily your best Sub so far, no doubt about it.
Your improvments are GOOD, much more readble and printable on little size. i love how you made variations, like the heart, of course, your concept permits a lot of fun, different ways to transmit the ss firm.

But, my opinion is, that if i was in your place, i would have done for the tiny sizes, like web, print paper or clothes etc...a special logo, that suggest the concept, but not at all the same design you used for big prints (instead of the tee shirt resizes in little, i would have done something else, completly different, i don't know, just an element...which would changeable for example)

i hope you'll understand what i meant, my english is playing me tricks...
good luck dude!
