Everybody seeing the shirt? it looks like art, fun, easy and two persons, the shirt inbetween. So shirt is communication between people. it could also be the designer giving the shirt to “his” customer.

ok:) at first I did not recognize shirt in this logo because shirt is inconspicuous at the moment. shirt should be more stronger than both men of keith haring. I know it is difficult… but I find this layout is stabile. ;)

I’m with Japasa, at first I did not notice the shirt but once i did it was a nice surprise. The type could be better. I don’t like that there’s too much space between the letters in “shirt”. It might be better if spread shirt is stacked next to the icon. Also, I don’t think it’s a good idea to use the same condensed type for “your own label” as it would become less readable the smaller it gets. Try using a similar font with regular weight and have it run on the bottom of both the icon and the stacked “spread shirt”. All in all i think this is the most successful use of people in a spreadshirt logo in this contest. good job!

Thanks guys. i thought it would be cool if the shirt was not that obvious, like the arrow in FedEx, you know? what does everyone else think?

  10. 10 by Japasa | Sep 30th, 2007 at 12:35 pm

logo with dark grey is a best looker and I would do it:

    - font “your own label” and label should be same-colour because everybody understands that label
is in relation of font “your own label”
    - perhaps you could add other colour only for shirt that it would be easy to recognize this shirt by
strong contrast but it is problem that both feet are not combined…
    - circular label and rounded rectangle perfect
    - it is enough to give you my advice. ;)

Thanks mate! I am not sure about adding a color to the shirt cause then the surpirse or clever aspbect is lost. That would be too “easy”. Lets see what spreadshirt thinks of this one and see where I can take it.
    Thanks!

hmm, I’m trying to find out where I saw something like this before. It’s NOT http://www.zwilling.com (which is close, but only due to the colors and the 2 ppl) but I’m sure I’ve seen similar mannekens in a logo before ..

    Keith Haring?

  16. 16 by Pascalphilly | Oct 1st, 2007 at 4:03 pm

Yeah its inspired by Keith Haring, but since it is not just the persons shape and not the bright colors it is not close to Keith Haring. If you feel a little of Keith Haring in it it is still the artistic and free feeling, that seems fine to me.

http://www.zwilling.com is similar, but only as you say because of color and using two personlike shapes. You will find person shapes more than once I bet [not as often as hearts though ;)], but how you use it makes it different and the tshirt surprise is definitely unique.

The red should not be used then, cause in red it looks similar to zwilling, colors are doing a lot as to feel similarity to something. The blue is working better already I think, also in a circle its far away from zwilling. Maybe the blue in the circle.

yeah that is a total copy, damn you got me *lol*

reminds me of the ‘Bundesliga’-logo (http://www.fussball-szene.de/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/dfl-bundesliga-logo.jpg). but, i like it!

  20. 20 by Pascalphilly | Oct 4th, 2007 at 4:25 am

Pat: Thanks that you like it! It probably reminds you of Bundesliga-logo because the rectangular shape has a similar format and color. The new version (hopefully updated soon) will have other shapes and I dont think that will still remind you of either this or the other mentioned logo :)

  21. 21 by Japasa | Oct 4th, 2007 at 8:09 am

Pat: On my opinion that this logo has no asociativity with your logo. ;)

  22. 22 by Japasa | Oct 4th, 2007 at 8:10 am

    sorry: his logo. :P

Hi, sorry to be critic about your work. Technically it’s not so bad but i don’t see what you want to mean with those characters. It looks like a dance company. There’s is a disturbing ethnic dimension …… sorry

  28. 28 by Pascalphilly | Oct 5th, 2007 at 1:32 pm

Your crits are welcome kogumi. If you see a little dancing in there this is not too bad cause it still expresses fun. I do not feel that dancing is the first thing to see in the icon though.

  29. 29 by JDELPHIN | Oct 5th, 2007 at 2:00 pm

I particularly like the logo that is encapsulated in a circle. Looks like the men are rolling in a bawl. It gives a sensation of movement that begins, one just want to see the characters moving! Fun concept…

  30. 30 by JDELPHIN | Oct 5th, 2007 at 2:04 pm

I didn’t saw the comment of kogumi before writting my own about the circular logo. But I don’t agree with saying that the movement idea is disturbing. At the contrary I think that it’s fun and interactive. It conveys a lot of customer imagination and that’s the point of customisation! (hope i’m understandable - not english native ;-)

  31. 31 by Pascalphilly | Oct 5th, 2007 at 2:06 pm

JDELPHIN - I thought the square was a little nicer, but I see your argument for the circle. nice argument. THANKS!

  32. 32 by Pascalphilly | Oct 5th, 2007 at 2:09 pm

JDELPHIN - wow you were faster than I could answer *g* Thanks again for your comment and I am glad you understood it as I thought of it. You were understandable, THANKS for understanding my message :)

  33. 33 by AlexanderWende | Oct 6th, 2007 at 8:44 pm

don’t like the colors, but the logo is still great ;)

  34. 34 by Pascalphilly | Oct 8th, 2007 at 5:03 am

    Thanks Alexander!
Just where the colors are placed is kind of necessary, what colors do not matter that much with this logo. so the colors are pretty much still open to negotiations ;)
