oh no, i’ve just submitted a similar concept i was working on for a couple of days… of course somebody else comes up with the same dandelion idea :( that happens when you wait too long with submitting, folks! ;) anyway, my version is differently executed, so it’ll be ok i guess!

    cheers and good luck!

@ Green: Thank you very much. I think the hardest part was creating the typeface itself. You have to find a balance between making each character unique and still look like they came from the same family.

@simonline: Don’t worry about it. And good luck to you.

@azzaoui, laguoutte & rambo: Thank you.

The idea is nice, and your ads are lovely, especially the green kid. I fear though that the idea is clear in the logo execution. The first one looks rather like a saw/or razor wheel.
Maybe play around with the logo a little more

@ Pascaphilly: Thanks for the compliment. I think with the softness of the typeface itself and the shirt, it’s more likely that people will see the icon as a sunburst/flower than anything else, like in click shirt. But it’s main purpose is to highlight the product. There’s also the sub logos.

Spreadshirt could also animate the spores breaking off in their banner for the site like in the green kid poster. It would also be a cool preloader for a flash animation if the each spore/petal would turn blue one by one as it loads the flash. There’s all kinds of ways to support the idea. Logos rarely stand alone and are almost always supported by graphical and/or typographical elements.

And don’t forget. Although spreadshirt offers you your own brand it is a brand in itself. So i took into consideration if people would actually wear this brand. I wanted it to be clean and fresh without making it too corporate and didactic because nobody wants to be a walking ad.

p.s. the poster designs could also be applied to shirts.
