Labelheads *Updated*

Individuality is cute. Hairstyles can change, infinite possibilities! *Updated* - Now you can make your own!

The “Labelheads” are characters representing the spirit of Spreadshirt. They are hip and fun and come from all walks of life.

The design covers the basics : it depicts “shirts” and represents the nature of the business, and also supports the tagline “your own label” by incorporating the “label” into it; they after all “Labelheads”.

It also covers the 3 core values: 1)The simplicity of the design relates to the ease of use of Spreadshirt 2)the little details in different shirts convey Spreadshirt’s commitment to attention and quality 3) different characters each with their own unique style show the individuality and uniqueness associated with Spreadshirt.

But it goes beyond that.

By showing a variety of shirts (tees, hoodies, polos, tops) it clearly conveys the variety that Spreadshirt offers.

By having multiple Labelheads, the logoshows the ‘team-spirit’ of Spreadshirt and reiterates the fact that at Spreadshirt, making t-shirts is a team effort.

Having so many characters to choose from adds a lot of versatility and makes this suitable for targetted ad campaigns (for example, during the winter Labelheads wearing sweaters can be used).

Finally, the design is fun and has a lot of sense of humor to it, something that I have noticed to be a big part of Spreadshirt.

It ain´t no Logo. Except for the little, cheesy copy-shop around the corner, where they can actually “print” photos of your drooling infant on white shirts.

We are all seeing the labels because we deal with that idea since weeks, but do everyday people see labels in there?

this is also very cool! personally i dont like the font at all
but i think having these different characters brings a new dimension to this whole logo
and adds all kinds of possibilities.

i’m just flying out ideas here, but here’s another use for these Labelheads that I imagined:
You know how everyone has the option for uploading an avatar image in the current profile page (marketplace). Well, if they dont want to upload their own image, we can give them an option for using a Labelhead as their avatar. What’s more, we can use a similar concept to the Spreadshirt Designer to let them customize their own Labelhead (they can use different hairstyles, accessories, and apparel for their Labelhead, all according to their personal taste and style). It would be a complete integration of the Logo within the Spreadshirt community.

    Just an idea …

Ok, I thought it would be fun to implement the above idea, so here it is

I’m also going to try to see if I can actually post the flash here. Let’s see if I’m allowed to use an < .object> tag. If it doesn’t work you can still see it by clicking here

Awesome concept, I really love your logo, its got a great creative flair to it and it represents the creative nature of the company very well. Your example of using the flash tool as an avatar maker is a great idea too! It just shows that your concept can be developed futher and applied to various situations. Great stuff :)

Great dude! You screwed the website layout :)
    The flash-thing is fun man.
Someone mentioned (are there now two threads to this logo?) it appears that the haircuts are more important than the shirts, a serious thought as I think.

Yeah this is great. Gregs away, so i’m not sure how to make it display the object without screwing up the layout. But I’ll blog in on the main blog tomorrow anyway, and add it above to the entry.

Thanks for trying to fix this Adam, and sorry for the trouble.
It’s weird how it’s breaking the page. If it’s giving you too much trouble maybe you can just capture a screenshot of the tool and link it to this page?

I just had to wrap a div around it… weird

very creative idea, really cool work! but i don’t think it works as a logo (too much). The typography is cool as well. Anyway good luck for that one ;)

me too! i think is too complex for a logo.the idea is really good for a flash online game.
